A bank statement converter built for checking, not just converting

Most people who need a bank statement converter have the same problem: the bank only gives them a PDF, and the accountant, bookkeeping tool or spreadsheet needs rows. Copying transactions by hand is slow, and a quick conversion that silently drops a line or flips a debit is worse than no conversion at all. That is why the review step sits in the middle of the workflow here, not as an afterthought.

Every extracted transaction keeps a link to its source page, amounts stay exact to the cent, and the balance check compares opening balance, money in and money out with the closing balance printed on the statement. When something doesn't add up, you see where — and you decide what to change. Nothing is marked as verified by a bank, and nothing is guessed to make a total look right.

Questions people ask before uploading

Is it safe to upload my bank statement?

You never give us a bank login — you upload a PDF you already have. Files are processed automatically, support staff can't open them without your permission, and they are deleted 1 hour after upload for guests (24 hours with an account). You can delete them sooner at any time.

Will it work with my bank?

It isn't limited to a list of banks: each page is read as it is printed, including other languages and number formats. Most of our testing is on US and UK statements, so the 5 free pages a day are the quickest way to check your own bank before paying.

Does it work with scanned statements, photos or screenshots?

Yes. Scanned PDFs and PNG, JPG or WebP images are read from the page image. Downloaded PDFs from online banking give the cleanest result; for scans and photos, check the amounts against the original.

My statement PDF is password-protected. What can I do?

We can't open locked files (and they never use pages). Open the PDF with its password, choose Print, then Save as PDF — the new copy has no password and converts normally.

Is it free?

You get 5 free pages every 24 hours, with no account or card, and real Excel and CSV files without a watermark. Need more today? One-time packs start at $5 for 30 pages, and monthly plans at $19 for 500 pages. Pages without transactions and failed pages are never charged.

Can I import the result into QuickBooks or Xero?

Yes. Export a CSV with a single signed Amount column — money out as negative numbers — which is the layout both QuickBooks Online and Xero accept. Our QuickBooks and Xero guides walk through the import screens.

How do I know nothing was missed?

We add up every transaction and compare it with the opening and closing balance printed on the statement. If they don't match, you see the difference and the rows where the running balance breaks, next to the original page.

Can I combine several months into one spreadsheet?

Yes. Use Convert and combine multiple files to upload up to 20 statements, review each one, and export them together as a single Excel or CSV file.
