How to download your Lloyds Bank statements

On the website

  1. Log in to Lloyds Internet Banking.
  2. Select the account you need.
  3. On the account page, choose Statement options.
  4. Pick the statement and choose to download (or print) it as a PDF.

In the mobile app

  1. Log in to the Lloyds app and select the account.
  2. Open the three-dot menu.
  3. Select Download or print statement.
  4. Choose the month and year, then save or share the PDF.

Internet Banking shows up to 7 years of statements; the app goes back at least 10 years. You can order paper statements from the same menus (they take up to 10 working days). Credit card statements can't be downloaded in Internet Banking: use the app or ask for a PDF through online chat.

Menu names change from time to time. If a step doesn't match, look for Statements or Documents in your account menu.

Lloyds' transaction export vs converting the PDF statement

OptionWhat you getWatch out for
Internet Banking transaction exportA file of recent transactions from the account's transaction view, usually CSV (some accounts also offer a Quicken format)Covers a limited recent date range, not your full statement history, and doesn't follow statement periods. Not available for credit card statements.
PDF statement + converterEvery transaction from the statement in XLSX or CSV, with the source page for each row and totals checked against the opening and closing balances5 free pages a day; more pages need a paid pack (from $5 for 30). No QBO or OFX output.
Paper statementsPrinted statements ordered online or in the appUp to 10 working days to arrive and still need typing or scanning.

The export is fine for recent transactions you want in a hurry. For older months, credit cards or anything that must match an official statement, download the PDF and convert it.

What Lloyds Bank statements look like

  • The columns are Date, Description, Type, Money In (£), Money Out (£) and Balance (£). The Type column holds a short code rather than a description.
  • Every row has its own date in the form 01 Jul 25 (day, short month, two-digit year), and a running balance is printed on each line.
  • Opening and closing balances are not rows in the table. They appear in the summary box at the top as the balance on the first and last day of the period, alongside total money in and out.
  • Descriptions often wrap onto a second line holding a reference number or invoice detail, and the type code can sit on its own line below the description.
  • A key on the statement explains the type codes, including BGC, BP, CHG, CHQ, DD, DEB, FPI, FPO, PAY, SO and TFR.

Tips for converting Lloyds Bank statements

  • Keep the Type column when you convert. Codes such as DD, SO and FPI make it quick to categorise rows in your accounting software.
  • Because each row has a running balance, you can spot a missed or doubled line by checking that each balance equals the previous balance plus money in minus money out.
  • Lloyds credit card statements are a different document from your current account statement. Import them into a credit card account, not your bank account.
  • Set your spreadsheet to UK date format (day first) so a date like 03 Jun 26 isn't misread when you import the CSV.

Every extracted row sits next to the page it came from, and the totals are checked against the opening and closing balances printed on the statement. This example uses made-up data, not a real Lloyds Bank statement.
