Convert Chime bank statements to Excel or CSV
Chime gives you monthly statements as downloadable PDFs, which works for proof of income or a rental application but not for bookkeeping or a budget spreadsheet. If you need your Chime transactions in Excel or CSV, you'll usually start from those PDFs. This page shows where to download them, how a Chime statement is organized, and what to check when converting it.

How to download your Chime statements
On the website

- Click Profile, then Documents.
- Under Account Statements, select the account and the month.
- Select the statement to download it as a PDF.

- Select the account and month.
- Tap the export icon at the top right to save or share the statement.
Checking and Savings statements are produced monthly, and Credit Builder statements are produced for each billing cycle. Chime emails you when a new statement is ready and doesn't send paper statements. Chime's help pages don't say how many past statements are available online; if you need an older one that isn't listed, contact Chime support.
Menu names change from time to time. If a step doesn't match, look for Statements or Documents in your account menu.
Chime statements vs converting to a spreadsheet
| Option | What you get | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Chime PDF statement (app or chime.com) | The official monthly statement, or billing-cycle statement for Credit Builder, ready to print or share. | PDF only. It can include several account sections in one document. |
| Transaction history in the app | A quick view of recent transactions and their details. | Chime's help pages don't describe a CSV or Excel download, so it isn't a substitute for a statement. |
| PDF statement + our converter | Excel or CSV with Money out / Money in columns or one signed Amount column, each row next to its source page, with totals checked against the balances printed on the statement. | 5 free pages a day without an account. XLSX or CSV only, no QBO or OFX. |
Use the PDF as-is when someone just needs proof of your account activity. Convert it when you need to sort, total or import the transactions, for example for taxes, bookkeeping or a budget.
What Chime statements look like
- One statement can have separate sections for each account, such as Checking Account Statement, Savings Account Statement, Credit Builder Secured Account Billing Statement and Chime Card Secured Account Billing Statement, each with its own ending balance.
- A section can show a $0 ending balance even when you have money available in another account, so add up the relevant sections to get your total.
- Credit Builder statements follow a billing cycle rather than the calendar month, so their dates won't line up with your Checking statement.
Tips for converting Chime statements
- Convert each account section into its own sheet or account in your software, rather than mixing Checking, Savings and Credit Builder rows in one list.
- Treat moves between your own Chime accounts as transfers so they don't show up as income or spending.
- Check each section's ending balance after converting; if your spreadsheet total doesn't match, look for a missed row or a wrong sign.

How you check the result
Sample dataEvery extracted row sits next to the page it came from, and the totals are checked against the opening and closing balances printed on the statement. This example uses made-up data, not a real Chime statement.
