How to download your Citi (Citibank) statements
On the website
- Sign in to Citi Online and select the account.
- Open the statements area for the account (for credit cards it is usually labeled "Statements" or "Statements (PDF)").
- Choose a recent statement period and download it as a PDF.
- For older months, use the "Older Statements" option to pick the year and month and request the statement.
- Come back after the request is processed (Citi says 48 to 72 hours) and download it from the request status area.
In the mobile app
- Sign in to the Citi Mobile app and tap the account.
- Look for the statements or documents option for that account (labels can vary by app version).
- Open the statement PDF to view, save or share it.
Citi says statements are available online for up to 7 years. Recent statements download immediately; older ones are requested under "Older Statements" and are usually ready in 48 to 72 hours. A requested older statement stays available for download for only 7 days, so save it as soon as it is ready.
Menu names change from time to time. If a step doesn't match, look for Statements or Documents in your account menu.

Use Citi's CSV download when the dates you need are still in the activity view. For older billing cycles, or when you need rows that tie out to a specific statement, request and convert the PDF statements.
What Citi (Citibank) statements look like
- Citi credit card statements list activity under headings such as "Payments, Credits and Adjustments" and purchases, with Trans. date, Post date, Description and Amount columns.
- Card transaction dates are printed as MM/DD without a year; the year appears only in the billing period and due date.
- On card statements, payments and credits carry a minus sign, while purchases, fees and interest are shown as positive amounts.
- Interest charges appear in their own table with Date, Description and Amount, separate from the transaction list.
- Credit card statements follow billing cycles, not calendar months, so a statement labeled for one month often covers dates in two months.
Tips for converting Citi (Citibank) statements
- Request every older statement you need in one session. Each request takes 48 to 72 hours, and the download link expires after 7 days.
- Citi card statements show both a transaction date and a post date. Pick one and use it consistently, so your totals line up with the billing period.
- For a statement that runs from December into January, check that December rows get the earlier year after converting.
- Import Citi credit card data into a credit card account in your accounting software so payments reduce the card balance.

Which date should I use from a Citi credit card statement?
Citi shows both a transaction date and a post date. Many bookkeepers use the post date because it matches when the charge hit the account, but use whichever your accounting software expects and stay consistent.
Does a Citi statement month match the calendar month?
Not for credit cards. Statements follow the billing cycle, so check the closing date printed on the statement.
