Navy Federal lets you print or save a PDF copy of any statement less than 36 months old through Online Banking. For older statements, request copies through Online Banking or by calling 1-888-842-6328; Navy Federal charges $2.00 per statement copy, and expedited delivery can cost more.
Menu names change from time to time. If a step doesn't match, look for Statements or Documents in your account menu.
Navy Federal's own options vs converting the PDF
| Option | What you get | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Account history in Online Banking | The recent transaction list for each account on screen | Check your account's transaction history page for a download option; it only covers recent activity and has no statement opening and closing balances to reconcile against |
| PDF statement | The official monthly record, self-service for the last 36 months | Not editable; older copies cost $2.00 each |
| PDF statement + bankstatementconverters.net | XLSX or CSV from the statement with Money out / Money in or one signed Amount column, ISO dates, optional Balance and source page; totals checked against the opening and closing balances | 5 free pages a day without an account; no QBO/OFX output |
For the last three years, save the PDFs yourself and convert them; that gives you a spreadsheet you can check against each statement's opening and closing balances. Order copies only for periods older than 36 months, since each one is a paid request.
What Navy Federal Credit Union statements look like
- Navy Federal uses credit union terms: checking and savings are share accounts, and interest on deposits is paid as dividends. Expect dividend lines among your deposits.
- Credit card statements are separate from checking and savings statements and are laid out differently, so convert and import them as a credit card account rather than mixing them with deposit accounts.
- Use the opening and closing balances on each statement to confirm nothing was missed, especially when one PDF has several accounts.
Tips for converting Navy Federal Credit Union statements
- Save your PDFs regularly: after 36 months you can no longer download them yourself and each copy costs $2.00.
- If your statement lists more than one share account (for example checking and savings), split the rows by account before importing so each reconciles to its own balances.
- Transfers between your own Navy Federal accounts appear on both accounts; record them as transfers, not income or expenses.
- In QuickBooks or other accounting software, import Navy Federal credit card statements into a credit card account so charges and payments get the right sign.

How you check the result
Sample dataEvery extracted row sits next to the page it came from, and the totals are checked against the opening and closing balances printed on the statement. This example uses made-up data, not a real Navy Federal Credit Union statement.
